Intensive Driving Courses in Preston

As stated, this intensive driving course was particularly intense! Very challenging at times and tiring, my Instructor Paddy Tyler made it as smooth as it could have been and fitted it to my pace. A big thank you to Paddy who is also a very nice chap!

I would definately recommend this intensive driving course to anyone, and would also recommend Paddy as an instructor. Professionalism but good laughs guaranteed! Even though Paddy owns a fair number of crap jokes!

Having had some previous driving experience I opted for the 3-day intensive course and had Kelvin Potter as my instructor. Kelvin was excellent – he quickly worked out the areas that needed the most improvement and how to address them in order for me to get up to test standard within the (relatively short) time we had before the test itself. His approach is very comprehensive and refreshing. He will always ensure that you understand fully why he is asking or telling you to take a certain action with your driving. It makes a change from my past experiences with other instructors where I was told to do something but not necessarily given the reason behind the instruction. Kelvin is also open to how you want the student-instructor communication to go. You can ask him to push you hard as you want and just as easily ask him to ease off. This worked really well and as a result this helped me get the result I wanted – passing my test! Highly recommended.

Having some previous experiance of driving from some time ago, I opted to go for the 4 day course consisting of 24 hours of driving. The course fees covered not only the 24 hours behind the wheel but also the cost of the theory and the practical, which removed the hassle of arranging it myself. I felt the communication was excellent throughout, once i’d paid for the course, within 24 hours I had received a welcome email, had a date confirmed for my theory test and had been assigned an instructor. Very efficient and stress free.

Also within that time my instructor, Kelvin, had also contacted me. Kelvin’s teaching method was fantastic, assuring and positive when you got it right, constructive and supportive when you didn’t. Kelvin’s approach was very modern, allowing you to develop your own driving style whilst meeting and exceeding all the required standards rather than trying to shoe horn you into a style you are not familiar or comfortable with. This from a personal point of view greatly enhanced the experiance for me. Kelvin’s methods are successful ones, as he challenges you to reach such high levels of driving ability that even when you think your struggling, your still above the required standard. My practical test was a prime example of this. I felt the test was not going as well as my practice runs on the day and wasn’t sure i’d been good enough, but I passed with 7 minors.

Aside from being a great instructor, Kelvin is a very approachable and nice person and I would recommend his services to anybody.

I did the 36 hour course with Adam Iles as my instructor. Adam was very helpful and got me up to a high standard of driving within just a few days. Overall the course suited me perfectly and couldn’t have gone any better.
