Intensive driving courses are designed to fit a large amount of driving tuition into a much shorter period than weekly lessons. At OneWeekDrivingCourse.co.uk, our main intensive courses run for 3 to 8 training days depending on the number of hours you book.
We schedule up to 6 hours of driving tuition per day. An 18-hour course therefore takes 3 days, a 30-hour course takes 5 days and a 48-hour course takes 8 days. Your practical driving test does not have to be on the final day of your course.

Our intensive days contain up to 6 hours of driving tuition. That does not mean sitting in the car for six hours without stopping.
Three 2-Hour Driving Blocks
A typical full intensive day is split into three 2-hour training blocks. This gives you enough time to cover a useful amount of driving without treating the day as one continuous six-hour lesson.
Time to Stop Between Sessions
There are two 30-minute breaks during a full six-hour training day. The breaks are not counted as part of your driving tuition, so you still receive the full course hours you booked.
What Does a 6-Hour Intensive Driving Day Look Like?
Your exact start and finish times are agreed with your instructor, but a full training day is structured around three driving blocks and two breaks.
Does Every Intensive Driving Course Take One Week?
No. “Intensive” describes how the training is structured, not a rule that every course must fit into five days.
Our 18, 24 and 30-hour courses take 3, 4 and 5 training days. The longer beginner courses contain more tuition, so the 36, 42 and 48-hour options take 6, 7 and 8 training days.

Does the Practical Driving Test Happen at the End of the Course?
Not necessarily. Your training schedule and your practical test booking are two separate things.
Under the current DVSA rules, you book and manage your own practical driving test. You can book a dedicated course week or choose to schedule your course around a practical test booking. We provide guidance through the test booking process and access to our Student Test Swapping Process.

What If I Have Not Passed My Theory Test Yet?
You do not have to wait until your theory test is passed before starting driving tuition. If you have not passed it yet, you can complete the majority of your intensive course and keep 6 hours of tuition available for later, closer to your practical test.

Intensive vs Semi-Intensive: How Long Do They Take?
If consecutive training days do not suit your schedule, a semi-intensive course spreads the same type of tuition over a longer period.
