Having had some previous driving experience I opted for the 3-day intensive course and had Kelvin Potter as my instructor. Kelvin was excellent – he quickly worked out the areas that needed the most improvement and how to address them in order for me to get up to test standard within the (relatively short) time we had before the test itself. His approach is very comprehensive and refreshing. He will always ensure that you understand fully why he is asking or telling you to take a certain action with your driving. It makes a change from my past experiences with other instructors where I was told to do something but not necessarily given the reason behind the instruction. Kelvin is also open to how you want the student-instructor communication to go. You can ask him to push you hard as you want and just as easily ask him to ease off. This worked really well and as a result this helped me get the result I wanted – passing my test! Highly recommended.

I was doing an extended test in Stoke-on-Trent. I live in Chester , so doing the test in Stoke was quite Daunting as I’ve never even been there before. However Steve made me feel relaxed and at ease, I felt confident with him beside me after an hour or so, he had a vast knowledge of where and what the examiners would expect of me. I did an 18 hour Course and was with the examiner for 70mins!! I passed with only 2 minor faults. I hadn’t driven for over 15 years. So its a great testament to what Steve taught me! I would highly recommend both OneWeekDrivingCourse and Lee Whitehead. The website was easy to use which made booking the course very simplistic. There was plenty of choice depending on your needs and level of experience. I was extremely anxious about driving at first and Lee was a great help in building my confidence and helping me to feel calmer. Communication from the company, either by email or phone, was always clear, polite and helpful. I missed a day and a half of my course due to bad weather but still managed to pass my test first time which I couldn’t have done without Lee’s great teaching.
